The Bako National Park is Sarawak oldest National Park, about 20KM from Kuching City.
The park is located on a 27 square kilometer natural sanctuary on jagged peninsular between the months of Sarawak and Bako Rivers. Notable for its incredible biodiversity, from pitched plants to terrestrial orchids, bearded pigs, vipers, Silver leaf monkey, and long-tailed macaques. Bako is one of the best places in Borneo to observe the long-nosed proboscis monkeys. The park also offers a number of trekking and walking trails ranging from 0.8km to 12km.
