3D2N Mulu Show Caves

Gunung Mulu National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that encompasses caves and karst formations in a mountainous equatorial rainforest setting.

The park is a protected rainforest in Malaysian Borneo. It’s known for its dramatic peaks and caves, including the huge, bat-filled Deer Cave. The cave leads to the Garden of Eden, a hidden valley and waterfall enclosed by limestone cliffs. The Pinnacles at Gunung Api are tall, jagged limestone formations with steep trails and rare orchids. The summit of Gunung Mulu Mountain has views over the park.

Deer Cave

Deer Cave was believed to be once the largest cave passage in the world .It is part of the Gunung Mulu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site characterised by amazing caves and karst formations in a mountainous equatorial rainforest setting.

The Clearwater Cave

With approximately 60 km (37 mi) of known passages, is considered the longest cave system in Southeast Asia. It is recognised for its crystal clear underground stream.

The Wind Cave

The Wind Cave is located on the same trail leading to Clearwater cave, and is known for its blowing wind. It contains a chamber dubbed King’s Room, a cavern containing huge columns of stone on both the ceiling and the floor.

The Lang cave

The Lang Cave is the smallest of the caves open to the public. However, its size allows up-close opportunities to see some of the common cave inhabitants such as bats and swiftlets.

Bat Exodus

A Bat Observatory is located near the Deer Cave where visitors to can view swarm of bats (12 species as recorded) leave the cave on most evenings between 17:30 and 18:30 but on rare occasions do not leave at all. Even more rarely they sometimes leave as early as 16:30 and are believed to travel up to 100 KM from the cave before they return in the early morning. Their “cruising altitude” to their feeding areas is around 3500 metres at up to 75 km/h.
